I hope all of our families had an amazing Thanksgiving break and enjoyed time to rest, recharge, and reconnect. November was truly a fantastic month at Northampton, filled with learning, celebration, and community spirit.
We celebrated during the month, honoring our heroes during Veterans Day, and our students did a beautiful job showing gratitude and respect. Boosterthon was another huge highlight—we are currently at 95% of our goal and so close to reaching $22,000! If we hit that goal… I get slimed! 🎉 These funds will help build our outdoor classroom, a space that will support hands-on learning, collaboration, and exploration for years to come. Thank you for your continued support, including your participation in our brick fundraiser—your generosity is shaping our campus in meaningful ways.
We also had a fantastic STEAM Day, where students engaged in creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork through science, technology, engineering, art, and math. Experiences like these help students build curiosity and resilience while making learning come alive. Now, we are looking ahead to a fun-filled December! This month will be packed with joy and celebration, including: ✨ Holiday parties ✨ Engaging and festive learning experiences ✨ Choir and percussion performances ✨ The 4th grade holiday program ✨ Our campus spelling bee ✨ And so much more! Thank you for being a part of our incredible community. We are excited to make this December a month full of memories, growth, and holiday cheer. With Colt Pride, Lisa Mackey

It is with a full heart that I share some exciting and bittersweet news with you. After much thought and prayer, I have made the decision that after winter break, I will not be returning to Northampton. I will be staying home with our newest little one, Cove, and beginning a new journey homeschooling my son, Bodie. My last day at Northampton will be December 19th.
This decision has not been easy, as Northampton has been so much more than a workplace—it has truly been a second home. Over the past five years, I’ve had the incredible privilege of serving as your school counselor, walking alongside your children as they learned, grew, and discovered more about themselves and the world around them. Thank you for allowing me to love, support, and guide your amazing kids—each smile, hug, and heart-to-heart conversation has meant more to me than words can express.
This December, our students have been shining as they continue to grow in character, practicing our Core Values of respect, responsibility, kindness, and perseverance. We are also working to help families who are less fortunate celebrate the holidays, and I want to give a special shoutout to all the families who have generously donated food—your support is making a big difference in our community and teaching our students the power of giving.
Although I am stepping away for a new chapter with my family, Northampton will always hold a special place in my heart. Thank you for the trust, kindness, and support you’ve shown me and your children over the years. It has been an honor to be part of your children’s journeys and the Northampton family. With heartfelt gratitude and love, Meagan Wondolowski Northampton School Counselor |

Our Colts celebrated International STEAM Day with an action-packed day of creativity, curiosity, and hands-on learning! 💡🌟 Thanks to Klein Oak FFA, students got up close with the barnyard, learning about animal science, agriculture, and how to care for show animals. Hildebrandt’s Student Council joined the fun with rocket launching and bubble-making activities, sparking excitement as students explored science and engineering in motion! Students also dove into our brand-new STEAM carts, building, creating, and experimenting with a variety of materials. They worked with VEX robots and even explored the universe inside Klein’s Astronomy Dome! 🌌 It was an unforgettable day that brought Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math to life—because at Northampton, our Colts don’t just learn about STEAM… they live it! Even beyond this special day, we’ve incorporated STEAM into all our classrooms, giving students opportunities to think critically, collaborate, and solve problems every day. Ask your student about the exciting STEAM projects happening in their classroom—they’re building skills that will last a lifetime! 💙🐴

LUNCH & WATER BOTTLE SAFETY REMINDERS🚨 |
Families, we need your help keeping our Colts safe! Recently, we’ve had several glass containers break in lunchboxes. For safety reasons, please avoid sending any glass containers with your child’s lunch. We also ask that students bring spill-proof water bottles—ones with secure, closing lids (not straws or open tops). This helps prevent messy spills in backpacks, classrooms, and the cafeteria.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our school safe and clean! 💙🐴 |

At Northampton, the safety of our Colts always comes first!
Please remember that all visitors must show a photo ID at the door every time you come to campus—even if we already know you. Additionally, for everyone’s safety, please do not allow anyone else to enter with you. Each visitor must check in at the door and show their own ID before entering. These important steps help us keep every student safe and ensure we are following district safety procedures.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain a secure learning environment for our students! |

I'm a new Attendance matters because every day in school is an opportunity to learn, grow, and build connections. When students are present, they gain essential skills, keep up with lessons, and stay on track academically. Consistent attendance also helps students develop responsibility, routines, and a sense of community with classmates and teachers. Even a few missed days can make it harder to keep up, so being at school every day ensures students don’t miss out on learning, friendships, and all the experiences that make school meaningful. If you are unable to make it to school, please see the directions for uploading your absence into Skyward so it is properly recorded.block.
