Week 2

Bearkats,

What a GREAT first week! Thank you to our students, families, faculty, and staff for helping us kick off the 2026–2027 school year with such incredible energy, optimism, and Bearkat pride. We have received wonderful feedback from our community about our first-week procedures, and we appreciate everyone's patience and partnership as we welcomed our students back to THE Klein High!

We also have some exciting news to celebrate - it is official: Klein High continues to be an A-rated campus! 🎉 Klein High earned an overall score of 94, a two-point increase from last year! We are especially proud of our 95 in Academic Achievement!  This achievement reflects the tremendous work of our students and teachers and the continued support of our Bearkat families. Way to go, Bearkats!

Looking Ahead to Week 2...

Tardies Begin Monday
Now that students have had time to learn their schedules and navigate the building, tardies will be fully enforced beginning Monday. Please help us by reminding students that being on time and ready to learn is an important part of academic success.

Klein High Is Phone-Free
Thank you for your support of our phone-free school day. Students should continue to keep personal communication devices put away throughout the school day in accordance with state law and district expectations. Consistency between home and school makes a tremendous difference, and we appreciate your partnership!

Schedules & Class Sizes
We know some classes are currently larger than we would like. Our team is diligently reviewing enrollment and schedules and will continue making adjustments where possible. Please know that some schedule changes may occur as we work through the district's enrollment and staffing process.

Doors Open at 6:30 p.m. - get there early to enjoy the food trucks and shop for new Bearkat merchandise! 

Thank you again for helping us make our first week such a success. We are incredibly proud of our students, our staff, and this community. A 94 overall and a 95 in Academic Achievement give us so much to celebrate - and we are just getting started!

Students are expected to be in school every period, every day!

If absent, parent notes must be entered through Skyward and medical notes need to be emailed to your child’s attendance clerk. Parents have 5 days upon return of the absence to submit a parent and/or medical note.

Students late to class over the 15 minute mark (for each period) will be marked absent.

If a student arrives late to school, they must sign in at the attendance office before going to class. If a student needs an early dismissal, the parent must notify the attendance office through Skyward prior to the early dismissal. Students must sign out at the attendance office prior to leaving school.

CADY will be on campus on August 25 photographing students for the
yearbook. Please remind your student to dress appropriately and come
prepared for their portrait. Families can confirm their information and save $10 on photo packages when they pre-order before Picture Day. Visit cady.com/pictureday to confirm your info, explore package options and place your order. Thank you for helping make Picture Day a success.
