Ms. Hill

Hello Bulldog Family,

Our first full week is underway, and we are excited to get the ball rolling! This past week, the accountability ratings for the 2024–2025 school year were released, and your Ulrich Bulldogs earned a B rating. We have every reason to be proud, as we saw tremendous improvement across the school. Our goal is to always strive for greatness, and we ask for your continued support as we grow our students. These students, this staff, and this community have what it takes to be the best, and I am excited for us to continue to push forward together. Please take a look at the exciting things happening at THE U below. I look forward to building on the PRIDE and traditions of Ulrich. Go Bulldogs!

LPAC PARENT REPRESENTATIVES

Hello Ulrich Bulldog Parents!

We need parent representatives who would be willing to serve as our parent member of the Language Proficiency Assessment Committee (LPAC). If you give your permission for your student to participate in the English as a Second Language program, you will be qualified to serve in this role. All training and meetings will be done virtually, so no travel to the campus is needed.

You will receive training at the first LPAC meeting and then be asked to assist the team in identifying and placing students in the appropriate program for language development and academic success. In addition, parent volunteers will participate in annual reviews and other meetings, as necessary, to ensure student progress. We cannot have an LPAC without an LPAC parent, so we greatly appreciate it if you are willing and able to help!

If you would be willing to serve on the LPAC, please email dcoleman3@kleinisd.net or complete and return this letter to Ms. Coleman in the 7th grade office for more information.

Thank you!

Ulrich Intermediate – Student ID Procedures

At Ulrich Intermediate, safety is our top priority. For this reason, all students and staff must wear their ID badges at all times while on campus and at after-school events.

Student Expectations

  • Wear your ID every day. Your ID must be visible and around your neck at all times (not in a pocket or backpack). Temporary ID must be worn on your shirt.

  • Entering campus/events. Students must have their ID on before entering the building and at all after-school events.

  • Lost IDs. If you lose your ID, you can order a replacement on School Cash Online. A new ID will be ready within 24 hours. Until then, you must use a temporary ID.

Temporary IDs

  • Cost: $1 per day.

  • Morning Pickup: From 8:35–8:55 AM, students without IDs can get a temporary one:

    • At the front doors near the library

    • At the bus ramp

  • During the day: Students can also go to any grade-level office to get a temporary ID.

  • If your temporary ID falls off or no longer sticks, take it to your grade-level office for a free replacement.

Car and Bus Riders

Drop Off Information - The school building will open at 8:35 AM for student entry. Students may be dropped off before this time; however they will be unattended until staff report to duty.  Parents will drop off students by coming in off Spring Cypress or Loch Dane and joining the big loop in front of the building.  Please push all the way down along the sidewalk so we can get multiple cars in the driveway when there is heavy traffic.  Please make sure your child is ready to get out prior to entering the driveway, so that traffic can move quickly.  Please drive slowly in our parking lots

Pick-Up - Information -  will begin at 4:15.  It is essential that if your child is being picked up, they get outside as quickly as possible so that we are not holding up the line.  All parents are asked to always push all the way down the fire lane. This is what helps to get more cars into the front of our big loop to pick up our students. When it is raining, we still ask that you push down also but provide your students with umbrellas, ponchos, etc. Please drive slowly for the safety of everyone, and please respect our staff who are out on duty in the morning and afternoon.

Students are expected to cross at all crosswalks.  Parents are expected to join the car rider line.  Ulrich staff will not be responsible should you decide to pick them up from Cutten or Loch Dane Roads.  Your child will be subject to being stopped by the adult on duty and you will be asked to join the big loop for pick-up.

Thank you for your help as we continue to keep student safety a priority. Please drive slowly for the safety of everyone, and please respect our staff who are out on duty in the morning and afternoon. We all have the same goal and we must continue to be courteous and patient. Our officer will also be onsite outside to ensure order and safety is a priority.

Tardy Policy

Below are our 25-26 tardy procedures at Ulrich Intermediate School. Students are given 4 minutes to transition between classes.  Students are counted tardy if they are not in their rooms by the time the tardy bell rings.Tardies will be tracked on a weekly basis for all class totals combined. Tardies will reset every week with consequences as follows:

  • 1st-2nd Tardy- Warning

  • 3rd Tardy- Lunch Detention

  • 4th Tardy- 1 Hr After School Detention

  • 5th Tardy- 2 Hr After School Detention

  • 6th Tardy- 1 day of ISS

Failure to report for disciplinary action results in additional discipline.

On Fridays, if your student received 3 or more tardies during the week, you and your student will both receive an email stating how many, and the discipline actions that will be issued the following week. Thank you to all of our Bulldogs for getting to class promptly! If you have any additional questions about the changes to procedure, please feel free to contact your child’s administrator.
