Think you’ve got what it takes to be Strack’s next spelling champion? 🏆 Tryouts for the Spelling Bee will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in the Multipurpose Room (1122) next to the ISS room.Students can register through the Google Form in Schoology by October 22. Don’t miss your chance to show off your spelling skills and represent Strack! If you have questions, reach out to Mrs. Alexander or Ms. Hay.
From October 27–31, Klein ISD will observe Anti-Drug Week to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and promote healthy choices. Students will take part in lessons focused on staying drug-free and identifying positive outlets and passions as their personal “anti-drug.” To celebrate, campuses will host themed dress-up days promoting unity and a drug-free lifestyle. Families who prefer for their child not to participate may complete the opt-out form linked below and return it to their assistant principal.
Cougar Families, we’ve noticed more students arriving out of dress code—especially with midriffs showing and holes in shorts/jeans/pants that are too high. Please help us by making sure your child is in dress code before leaving home each morning.
Students not in dress code will be asked to correct the issue or have a change of clothes brought to them. You can review the full guidelines here 👉 HANDBOOK (pages 77).
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our Cougars focused on learning! ❤️🐾

Staff of the Month!
🐾 Teacher of the Month: We’re proud to celebrate Ms. Gonzalez, one of our amazing Spanish teachers, as our Cougar Teacher of the Month! Ms. Gonzalez brings incredible energy and creativity to Strack each day. Not only is she an outstanding teacher who builds strong relationships with her students, but she also took the lead in organizing our campus-wide Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations. Her enthusiasm, fresh ideas, and commitment to creating meaningful experiences for students make her such an important part of our Cougar family. ¡Felicidades, Ms. Gonzalez!
🐾 Paraprofessional of the Month: We’re excited to recognize Ms. Maya Assi as our Cougar Paraprofessional of the Month! Ms. Assi keeps our Cougar Repair Center running smoothly, ensuring every student has the technology they need to succeed in class. Always cheerful, helpful, and full of positive energy, she’s quick to jump in wherever she’s needed and does it all with a smile. Although she’s new to Strack this year, her enthusiasm and dedication have already made a huge difference. We’re so lucky to have her as part of our Cougar family!
Thank you both for going above and beyond to make Strack the best place to learn and grow! ❤️
Starting with the 2025–2026 school year, a new Texas state law (House Bill 1481) prohibits students from using personal communication devices—such as phones, smartwatches, earbuds, and tablets—during the instructional day while on school grounds. Devices must be turned off and stored out of sight in a backpack or bag from the first bell to the end of the school day, including during passing periods, lunch, and recess.
Violations require disciplinary action. Families are encouraged to discuss this law with their children before the first day of school on August 13th. Schools will also review expectations and consequences with students to support a focused and positive learning environment.
As a reminder, in compliance with new Texas law HB 1481, all devices must remain put away during the school day. Repeated offenses will result in escalating consequences:
1st Offense – Device turned in to grade-level office, admin conference, parent contacted. Student may pick up device from the admin office at the end of the day.
2nd Offense – Device turned in, consequence may include lunch detention or after-school detention, parent contacted. Student may pick up device from the admin office at the end of the day.
3rd Offense – Device turned in, one day of ISS, parent contacted. Parent/guardian must pick up the device from the front office during school hours.
4th Offense & Beyond – Device turned in, consequence may range from 2 days ISS up to DAEP placement, parent contacted. Parent/guardian must pick up the device from the front office during school hours.
Thank you for helping us maintain a focused learning environment!
Tardy Procedures (Repeated Info)
Tardies are counted in total, per day, and reset each week. Once a discipline has been assigned it is the student's responsibility to reschedule due to a conflict. If you do not attend and miss your consequence, you may be given ISS immediately. Please see the disciplinary consequences below.
1-3: Warning
4: Lunch Detention
5: One Hour After School Detention
6: Two Hours After School Detention
7+ ISS (The number of days is determined by AP)
