Week 25

Klein High Community,

As we move into a critical stretch of the spring semester, our focus turns to the state-required End-of-Course (EOC) STAAR assessments in English I, English II, Algebra I, Biology, and U.S. History. These exams are graduation requirements in the state of Texas and represent significant academic milestones for our students. Success requires collective commitment - students, families, and staff locked in and intentional.

After Spring Break, we will offer targeted English I tutorials to provide additional support; parents, please sign up your student and take advantage of this opportunity (and yes, pizza will be provided). We are also just three weeks away from SAT and TSIA testing; both are foundational indicators tied to postsecondary readiness and graduation pathways. During InKlein, students will engage in structured practice, and we have linked additional tutorial and practice resources below for continued preparation. We encourage you to ask your student what score they are aiming for - they should be able to articulate their goal and plan.

Seniors - this is your season!! Please be sure to view ALL the things listed below....we do not want you to miss out!

We are incredibly proud of the hard work happening every day at Klein High, and we deeply appreciate your continued partnership and support. Go Bearkats!

With Bearkat Pride,

Shannon Strole, Principal

Benchmark Testing

To prepare for upcoming state exams, students will be taking benchmark tests this week - March 2-5 (Algebra I, Biology & US History).

Benchmark data helps us identify students who may need additional support, and these pre-assessments will help teachers tailor their instruction to best meet student's needs.

We will be on a block schedule for benchmark testing. Friday will be regular bell schedule. Students need to bring their Chromebooks fully charged and a charger!

Digital Citizenship

We want to remind families that students are expected to use their school-issued Chromebooks responsibly and in accordance with our district’s technology guidelines. Inappropriate use, including accessing unauthorized websites, gaming during instructional time, damaging devices, or misusing accounts, may result in a technology violation referral. Consequences can range from loss of device privileges and parent contact to disciplinary action, depending on the severity or frequency of the violation. We appreciate your partnership in reinforcing responsible digital citizenship and helping students understand that their Chromebook is a tool for learning.
