A Note from Our Principal ✨ |
Dear Kleb Families,
As we head into the final month of the school year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible growth and achievements our students have demonstrated so far, and I'm confident they will finish even stronger.
I am truly proud of how our students have shone bright across the triple A's — Academics, Athletics, and the Arts. From the classroom to the field to the stage, our intermediate students continue to excel and represent Kleb with distinction. Their commitment to growth, their resilience, and their positive attitudes have been nothing short of excellence. As we close out this year, I have every confidence they will maintain this momentum through our last day of school on May 28, 2026.
None of this would be possible without you. Your partnership, support, and encouragement at home make a profound difference in our Bearcubs’' success. When families and schools work together, our young people thrive.
May 4-8, is Teacher Appreciation Week, but we choose to celebrate them the entire month of May! This is a special time for us to honor our incredible educators who dedicate themselves to our students every single day. We are truly blessed to have such committed, passionate teachers on our staff. If you get a chance, please take a moment to thank a teacher for all they do. Their hard work and heart make all the difference.
I'm also thrilled to share that our school has been recognized with the distinguished designation of being a Model PLC (Professional Learning Community) at Work School. This honor reflects the exceptional dedication of our teaching staff. Week after week, our teachers collaborate, analyze student data, and design targeted instruction to ensure every student's needs are met. Their commitment to continuous improvement and their unwavering focus on student success are the foundation of this recognition.
As we enter this final stretch, please know how grateful I am for the entire Kleb family — students, staff, and families alike. Together, we are building a culture of excellence and belonging.
Thank you for being such an integral part of our school family.
Warm regards, Spring Payne

EOY Celebration Parent/Student Communication 📧 |
|
|
The following information was emailed to students and parents:
Dear Bearcub Students and Parents:
Kleb will be celebrating our students' hard work and growth this year with various activities and celebrations, including 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade campus celebrations, indoor and outdoor games, and field day activities. These celebrations will begin the last week in May.
Throughout the year, we have communicated the Kleb Core and Matrix to our students. To ensure we finish the year strong, we are asking that all students maintain both academic and behavioral excellence. The following criteria have been established for participation in end-of-year activities and celebrations:
Criteria to Attend All Activities:
|
-
Good Behavior: Students must have no more than 3 referrals and no suspensions from April 13, 2026, forward. This includes violations related to tardies, IDs, fees, and general campus behavior.
-
Academic Performance: Students failing any class will not be able to participate in activities and celebrations. Instead, they will attend the Grade Repair Classroom to complete missing assignments.
|
Beginning April 13, 2026:
|
-
Clear Records: All campus fines and outstanding charges must be paid and cleared by May 1st, including outstanding fees associated with: Chromebooks, Textbooks, IDs, Library Fines, Program Fees, Fine Arts (Band, Choir, Theater, Art), etc.
- All payments should be made through SchoolCash Online at https://kleinisd.schoolcashonline.com/.
-
Note: Chromebooks must also be turned in. A specific date will be announced soon.
|
Most of the events will feature games and activities similar to those offered in Physical Education classes. Students who do not meet the criteria above, or who choose not to participate, will have alternate activities available.
We look forward to a rewarding and successful end of the year with our Bearcubs.

Safety is our top priority at Kleb. At the start of the school year, every student will receive a new ID badge. All students are required to wear their ID badge visibly around their neck on a lanyard, with their name and photo clearly displayed. This policy helps ensure the safety of all Klein ISD students and is part of our dress code.
If a student arrives at school without their ID badge on, they must purchase a temporary ID band for $1 at the ID station in the cafeteria before school. Consequences reset at the start of each grading period. Here is the sequence of consequences for not wearing the ID badge:
1st: Purchase temporary ID ($1), warning 2nd: Purchase temporary ID ($1), parent contact 3rd: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 1 school detention 4th: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 2 school detentions
5th: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 3 school detentions OR 1 Saturday school 6th: Purchase permanent ID ($5), 1 day in-school suspension (ISS) Additional Offenses: Considered major non-compliance
Kleb administration reserves the right to adjust consequences as needed.
|
|
|
|
A student is considered tardy if they are not inside the doorway of the classroom at the time the bell finishes ringing to signal the beginning of class.
Tardy Consequences: Tardy counts start over at the beginning of each week. Consequences are as follows:
1 Tardy: Free 2 Tardies: Warning 3 Tardies: 1 day before/after school detention 4 Tardies: 2 days before/after school detention
5 Tardies: 3 days before/after school detention 6 or more Tardies: 1 day in-school suspension (ISS)
Kleb Administration reserves the right to adjust consequences at any time.
Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late to class will be considered absent without permission (truant), and a discipline referral will be submitted.
|
|
|
|
Please be advised that the dress code will be enforced starting from day one. Some important points to remember include: no head coverings, hats, bandanas, or similar items are allowed; all shirts and shorts must be of appropriate length.
Please refer to the Student Handbook [here] for our dress code guidelines. To help maintain a positive and respectful school environment, students are expected to follow the dress code. If the dress code is not followed, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken in accordance with the student code of conduct.
