Weekly Highlights at Kleb Intermediate 🤩

This week has been absolutely amazing for our Bearcubs, with students showcasing their talents across academics, arts, and competitions! From the Pentathlon competition, where students demonstrated their academic prowess across multiple subjects, to our talented vocalists advancing to Region Choir, our students are truly shining bright. Our UIL competitors have been working hard preparing for their events, while our Destination Imagination (DI) team made us proud at the State Competition with their creative problem-solving skills.

But the excitement doesn't stop there! Our students have been diving deep into hands-on learning across all subjects - from collaborative projects in the classroom to detailed artwork and writing assignments that showcase their creativity. Our theater program continues to develop future performers, while our diverse electives keep students engaged in everything from technology and engineering projects to sewing and crafts. The energy and dedication we see in our hallways, classrooms, and gyms every day is truly inspiring.

EOY Celebration Parent/Student Communication 📧

The following information was emailed to students and parents:

Dear Bearcub Students and Parents:

Kleb will be celebrating our students' hard work and growth this year with various activities and celebrations, including 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade campus celebrations, indoor and outdoor games, and field day activities. These celebrations will begin the last week in May.

Throughout the year, we have communicated the Kleb Core and Matrix to our students. To ensure we finish the year strong, we are asking that all students maintain both academic and behavioral excellence. The following criteria have been established for participation in end-of-year activities and celebrations:

Criteria to Attend All Activities:

  • Good Behavior: Students must have no more than 3 referrals and no suspensions from April 13, 2026, forward. This includes violations related to tardies, IDs, fees, and general campus behavior.
  • Academic Performance: Students failing any class will not be able to participate in activities and celebrations. Instead, they will attend the Grade Repair Classroom to complete missing assignments.

Beginning April 13, 2026:

  • Clear Records: All campus fines and outstanding charges must be paid and cleared by May 1st, including outstanding fees associated with: Chromebooks, Textbooks, IDs, Library Fines, Program Fees, Fine Arts (Band, Choir, Theater, Art), etc.
  • All payments should be made through SchoolCash Online at https://kleinisd.schoolcashonline.com/.
  • Note: Chromebooks must also be turned in. A specific date will be announced soon.

Most of the events will feature games and activities similar to those offered in Physical Education classes. Students who do not meet the criteria above, or who choose not to participate, will have alternate activities available.

We look forward to a rewarding and successful end of the year with our Bearcubs.

🧮 Fact Fluency March Madness Has Begun!

Check out the updated standings for our Fact Fluency March Madness Bracket! This exciting competition is designed to help students build confidence and master their multiplication facts while having fun with friendly classroom competitions.

How It Works:
     • Students compete in weekly fact fluency challenges
     • Classes face off against each other bracket-style
     • Each week brings new matchups and opportunities to advance
     • The goal is to build both speed and accuracy in multiplication facts

Why This Matters: Strong fact fluency is the foundation for success in higher-level math concepts. When students can quickly recall their multiplication facts, they can focus their mental energy on problem-solving and critical thinking rather than basic calculations.

Cheer on Your Student: Encourage your child to practice their multiplication facts at home! Even just a few minutes of daily practice can make a huge difference in their confidence and performance.

Go Kleb Mathletes! Let the mathematical madness begin! 🧮✨

*Check back each week for bracket updates and see how your student's class is advancing through the competition!
