Parents and guardians can also support their students by talking with them about their future college and career ideas to help them choose the best courses for their goals. Campus Standards and Expectations |
| After School Student Event Expectations |
Students must remain in dress code, including wearing their own school-issued ID badge. Students may not stay on campus after the school day ends while waiting for a game or performance to start. All students must remain seated either with an adult or in the designated student section only. Foul language is not permitted. All students are expected to follow the Kleb Core expectations at all times.
Backpacks and outside food or drinks are not allowed at after-school events, including games and performances. Students should stay seated in the stands unless it is halftime or between games. Students will begin calling for rides at the start of the 4th quarter or during the second set of volleyball.
Once the event is over, all student spectators must exit the stadium, gym, or event area promptly. Students will not be supervised after leaving the stadium or campus. If a student does not adhere to Kleb Core (R.I.S.E) or the student code of conduct, they may be asked to leave and/or lose the privilege to attend future events.

Cell phones may only be used before arriving on campus and after leaving for the day. During school hours, students are expected to keep their phones, smartwatches, and headphones stored out of sight in their backpacks before entering the building and throughout the day. Personal devices are not allowed in hallways, classrooms, restrooms, or the cafeteria. Key points to remember:
Students must put their phones, headphones, and smartwatches in their backpacks or purses before entering the building; devices should not be in their hands or pockets. Students who do not follow this rule will have their phones confiscated and sent to the grade-level discipline office. Confiscated phones must be picked up by a parent or guardian; they will not be returned directly to students.
Only wired headphones are permitted during instructional time, as directed by teachers. Bluetooth or wireless earbuds are prohibited for safety reasons. If a parent or guardian needs to contact their student during the school day, please call the school office to have a message delivered.

Safety is our top priority at Kleb. At the start of the school year, every student will receive a new ID badge. All students are required to wear their ID badge visibly around their neck on a lanyard, with their name and photo clearly displayed. This policy helps ensure the safety of all Klein ISD students and is part of our dress code.
If a student arrives at school without their ID badge on, they must purchase a temporary ID band for $1 at the ID station in the cafeteria before school. Consequences reset at the start of each grading period. Here is the sequence of consequences for not wearing the ID badge:
1st: Purchase temporary ID ($1), warning 2nd: Purchase temporary ID ($1), parent contact 3rd: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 1 school detention 4th: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 2 school detentions
5th: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 3 school detentions OR 1 Saturday school 6th: Purchase permanent ID ($5), 1 day in-school suspension (ISS) Additional Offenses: Considered major non-compliance
Kleb administration reserves the right to adjust consequences as needed. |
A student is considered tardy if they are not inside the doorway of the classroom at the time the bell finishes ringing to signal the beginning of class. Tardy Consequences: Tardy counts start over at the beginning of each week. Consequences are as follows: 1 Tardy: Free 2 Tardies: Warning 3 Tardies: 1 day before/after school detention 4 Tardies: 2 days before/after school detention
5 Tardies: 3 days before/after school detention 6 or more Tardies: 1 day in-school suspension (ISS) Kleb Administration reserves the right to adjust consequences at any time. Students who arrive more than 15 minutes late to class will be considered absent without permission (truant), and a discipline referral will be submitted. |
Please be advised that the dress code will be enforced starting from day one. Some important points to remember include: no head coverings, hats, bandanas, or similar items are allowed; all shirts and shorts must be of appropriate length.
Please refer to the Student Handbook [here] for our dress code guidelines. To help maintain a positive and respectful school environment, students are expected to follow the dress code. If the dress code is not followed, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken in accordance with the student code of conduct.

| No Fast Food or Food Deliveries |
Please note that fast food items and food deliveries will not be allowed or accepted during the school day. Students may bring water bottles with closed lids to school. Please make sure the lids are securely closed to prevent spills. |
| No Open Containers or Cups with Straws |
To help prevent spills and keep our hallways safe from slipping hazards, please do not bring open containers or cups with straws to school. Closed bottles or spill-proof containers are the best choice for staying hydrated without accidents. Thank you for helping us maintain a clean and safe environment for everyone! |
