A Note from Our Principal ✨

Dear Kleb Families,

We are well into our quarter 3 grading period, and I am so proud of the steadfast pursuit of excellence our students exhibit daily. Emails were sent to families with middle of the year progress of student growth and achievement as indicated on the MAP assessment tool that students took in January. Thank you for taking time to review your child’s unique report and supporting your child at home. Our teachers are tailoring lessons to support your child on campus to meet individual needs. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher or grade level office.

Progress Reports will be posted to Skyward on February 26, 2026. Students will need to have all assignments completed and submitted timely as grades for this grading period will pull on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Please join me in celebrating our Houston Rockets STEM Teacher of the Month, Ms. Moss. Ms. Moss serves as one of our CTE and 7th grade social studies teachers. Ms. Moss is also our Coding Club sponsor here at Kleb. She has a passion to lead students in pathways that impact student learning.

I also would like to congratulate our students who have earned the distinction of All State Choir! We are so very blessed to have such talented students and teachers like Mrs. McDonald and Mrs. Chrest, who are committed to excellence every day. Our Kleb Choir is second to none!

I am so very proud of our students who have earned the distinction of Scholastic Art & Writing Competition Winners. Our Kleb staff are committed to providing opportunities for our students to shine.

Please join me in also celebrating the outstanding results from this weekend’s Destination Imagination competition: our Engineering team placed 2nd and will advance to the state competition, the Fine Arts team won 1st place in the Instant Challenge and finished 4th overall, and the Improv team earned a strong 5th‑place finish. We are incredibly proud of these students for their creativity, teamwork, and dedication.

Thank you for your continued support of Kleb. It is such a pleasure to serve as principal at Kleb where we have excellent students, staff, and families.

Kind regards,
Spring Payne

Safety is our top priority at Kleb. At the start of the school year, every student will receive a new ID badge. All students are required to wear their ID badge visibly around their neck on a lanyard, with their name and photo clearly displayed. This policy helps ensure the safety of all Klein ISD students and is part of our dress code.

If a student arrives at school without their ID badge on, they must purchase a temporary ID band for $1 at the ID station in the cafeteria before school. Consequences reset at the start of each grading period. Here is the sequence of consequences for not wearing the ID badge:

1st: Purchase temporary ID ($1), warning
2nd: Purchase temporary ID ($1), parent contact
3rd: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 1 school detention
4th: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 2 school detentions
