A Note From Our Principal ✨

Dear Kleb Families,

I hope the start of 2026 finds you and yours well.  We are excited for the second half of the school year! Our fine Kleb teachers have been planning engaging lessons to continue the academic growth of our Bearcubs. Please take a moment to review the Family Learning Guides that bridge school to home learning and support.

Please mark your calendars and plan to attend our Kleb Expo Night on January 13, 2026 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.  We look forward to seeing you! Come join us to learn more about course selections, clubs,  curriculum, and enjoy our Kleb Fine Arts performances.

January is School Board Appreciation month, and we are so very grateful for our Klein ISD Board of Trustees that give of their time to ensure students are at the heart of every decision. Because of their heart of service and leadership, Klein ISD is second to none!

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. It is our joy and honor to be an instrumental part of our Bearcubs educational journey.

Kind regards,
Spring Payne

A Week of Excitement at Kleb 🤩

This week at Kleb, we’re proud of our students’ hard work and academic growth — from focused classroom projects and strong assessments to collaborative labs and learning beyond the classroom. Our learners are leading with curiosity, supporting one another, and showing real academic progress across subjects. Thank you families and staff for fueling their success!

Kleb Theatre: Holocaust Museum & Butterfly Center Trip 🦋

Our 2nd- and 3rd-year theatre students took a powerful dramaturgy trip to Holocaust Museum Houston, with a docent-led tour that provoked meaningful reflection on prejudice and the importance of empathy. After lunch they visited the Cockrell Butterfly Center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science to observe the living exhibit of 1,500–2,000 butterflies across 60 species. The day blended thoughtful, curriculum-connected learning with inspiring, out-of-classroom experiences.

Another Great Week for Kleb Basketball 🏀

What a week for our boys’ and girls’ basketball teams — exciting games, strong teamwork, and proud school spirit. Big thanks to our cheerleaders for cheering on the home team and to all the students who came out to support.

This weekend the A teams competed in a tournament: the 7A boys captured the championship, and the 8A girls fought hard to finish 4th. Go Kleb!

During school hours, students are expected to keep their phones, smartwatches, and headphones stored out of sight in their backpacks before entering the building and throughout the day. Personal devices are not allowed in hallways, classrooms, restrooms, or the cafeteria.

Key points to remember:

ID

ID Badges

Safety is our top priority at Kleb. At the start of the school year, every student will receive a new ID badge. All students are required to wear their ID badge visibly around their neck on a lanyard, with their name and photo clearly displayed. This policy helps ensure the safety of all Klein ISD students and is part of our dress code.

If a student arrives at school without their ID badge on, they must purchase a temporary ID band for $1 at the ID station in the cafeteria before school. Consequences reset at the start of each grading period. Here is the sequence of consequences for not wearing the ID badge:

1st: Purchase temporary ID ($1), warning
2nd: Purchase temporary ID ($1), parent contact
3rd: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 1 school detention
4th: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 2 school detentions
5th: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 3 school detentions OR 1 Saturday school
6th: Purchase permanent ID ($5), 1 day in-school suspension (ISS)
Additional Offenses: Considered major non-compliance

Kleb administration reserves the right to adjust consequences as needed.
