A Note From Our Principal ✨

Dear Kleb Families,

As we move into November, I want to take a moment to say how deeply grateful I am for your partnership and for entrusting your child to our school community. Your support, involvement, and trust make Kleb a safe, caring, and inspiring place for students to grow.

I am also incredibly proud of our students and staff. Their hard work shines every day—in the classroom, on the stage, and during extracurricular activities. Whether our students are mastering new academic skills, showing teamwork on the field, or sharing kindness with a classmate, their effort and character make Kleb special.

Students and parents received emails with information on quarter 1 assessments in core subjects. Thank you for visiting with your child on their progress and next steps. Here is our tutoring schedule.

A quick request: please continue to support your child in practicing multiplication and division facts at home. Math fluency is important now and into the future; quick recall of basic facts helps students tackle more complex problems and builds confidence across subjects. Even short daily practice—games, flash cards, or timed activities—can make a big difference.

It’s not too late to join our fabulous PTO!  If you have not already done so, please consider joining as our PTO is a vital part of our campus family. They serve in an active role of supporting our students and staff on a regular basis.  We welcome the partnership and are so grateful for the support. You may learn more about PTO here.

Finally, we’re excited to kick off Girls and Boys basketball season! It’s a wonderful chance for students to develop skills, build team camaraderie, and show school spirit. We look forward to cheering them on and seeing families at games and events. Please note that students who come to support our teams play need to be in dress code and have their Kleb ID worn around their neck.

Thank you again for being such an important part of our Kleb family.

Gratefully,

Spring Payne
Principal, Kleb Intermediate

During school hours, students are expected to keep their phones, smartwatches, and headphones stored out of sight in their backpacks before entering the building and throughout the day. Personal devices are not allowed in hallways, classrooms, restrooms, or the cafeteria.

Key points to remember:

ID Badges

Safety is our top priority at Kleb. At the start of the school year, every student will receive a new ID badge. All students are required to wear their ID badge visibly around their neck on a lanyard, with their name and photo clearly displayed. This policy helps ensure the safety of all Klein ISD students and is part of our dress code.

If a student arrives at school without their ID badge on, they must purchase a temporary ID band for $1 at the ID station in the cafeteria before school. Consequences reset at the start of each grading period. Here is the sequence of consequences for not wearing the ID badge:

1st: Purchase temporary ID ($1), warning
2nd: Purchase temporary ID ($1), parent contact
3rd: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 1 school detention
4th: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 2 school detentions
5th: Purchase temporary ID ($1), 3 school detentions OR 1 Saturday school
6th: Purchase permanent ID ($5), 1 day in-school suspension (ISS)
Additional Offenses: Considered major non-compliance

Kleb administration reserves the right to adjust consequences as needed.
