Car Rider Drop off

Dear Parents and Guardians,

To ensure the safety of all students and keep traffic flowing smoothly during arrival and dismissal, please follow these guidelines:

  • Morning Drop-Off: Students should only be dropped off at the yellow area in front of the pillars. No student should exit a vehicle before reaching this designated area.

  • Crosswalk Safety: Students must cross only at the crosswalk. Please watch for our staff directing traffic.

  • School Opening Time: The building opens at 8:30 a.m. Please do not drop off students earlier, as staff supervision is not available before this time.

  • Car Line Procedures:

  • Parents must use the car line for both drop-off and pick-up.

  • Students are not permitted to walk to or from the parking lot to meet a parent.

  • Parking in the car line to wait is prohibited—please keep the line moving.

  • Traffic Flow: To avoid blocking traffic, please do not turn left into the car line from Hildebrandt Road. Always approach from the designated direction.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping us keep our students safe and our traffic flow smooth. Thank you for modeling patience and courtesy during these busy times of the day.Hildebrandt Car Rider Line (1).pdf

Chromebooks & Student IDs

We want to ensure that all students are set up for a successful school year by following important campus procedures.

Student IDs:
All students are required to have their school-issued student ID visible at all times while on campus. This is part of our safety procedures and helps us maintain a secure learning environment.

  • Replacement IDs may be purchased for $5.

  • Please encourage your student to keep their ID in a safe place and bring it daily.

  • Students without IDs will be required to get a temporary ID for $1 at the school sfore.

Chromebook Distribution:

Chromebooks will be distributed during lunches today and tomorrow for students who have completed payment. If your student has not yet paid, please complete payment as soon as possible so they can receive their device.

We appreciate your support in reinforcing these expectations with your student. Together, we can ensure our campus remains safe, organized, and ready for learning.

Thank you,

Hildebrandt Administration

The Klein Independent School District has a deep concern for the safety and security of its students and employees. To address these concerns, video cameras have been installed, random parking lot drug searches before and during the school day have been implemented, human-canine teams make regular visits to the campus, and each high school campus has full time police officers and a parking lot monitor on duty during the school day. As described in the student handbook, an additional procedure has been implemented to further secure the high school and intermediate campuses. All high schools and intermediate schools have been provided with handheld metal detectors, which will be used solely on a random basis. Students in randomly selected classrooms and/or buses will be scanned using the handheld metal detectors. Should there be an alert, students will be asked to cooperate in determining the cause of the alert. If requested, this may be done in an area other than the classroom. Walk-through metal detectors may be used on some campuses in a similar manner.

The purpose of implementing these security measures is to prevent any student from bringing guns or any illegal weapons into the school building. Zero tolerance of guns and illegal weapons means that the KISD will not accept excuses. Therefore, those who possess these objects will be arrested. Your cooperation and support are greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Kimi Williams

Hildebrandt Principal

Free Meals to Families Approved for Reduced-Price Meals

Klein ISD

July 29, 2025

In a major step toward supporting student health and academic success, the State of Texas has expanded free school meals to include students who qualify for reduced-price meals. This renewal provides state funding to cover the cost of both breakfast and lunch for these students for the 2025-2026 school year.

Previously, families who qualified for reduced-price meals paid a small fee for each meal. Thanks to this new funding, those students now receive breakfast and lunch at no charge—removing a financial barrier and ensuring more Texas students have access to healthy school meals every day.

This investment reflects Texas' commitment to fueling student success through nutrition and is expected to increase meal participation and reduce food insecurity across the state.

Families are encouraged to submit a meal benefits application each school year to determine eligibility.

To apply, visit www.kisd.us/frmealapp or the SchoolCafe app.

Apply Now

Meal Benefits Application

The application will determine a child’s eligibility for free and reduced-price meals and may also assist in determining eligibility for other state or federal benefits. Only one application needs to be completed per household. Schools will notify the household of the child’s eligibility. The Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) administers school nutrition programs in Texas and offers an eligibility calculator at www.SquareMeals.org/ProgramEligibility.
