Jaguars Journey

Hello Haude Family

Over the past couple of weeks, the students and staff at Haude have enjoyed an exciting and memorable time on campus. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our outstanding PTO and the entire Haude community for their continued dedication and support.

Our Fall Fest was a tremendous success, made possible by the tireless efforts of our PTO and the many community members who joined us in celebration of our school. We concluded the week with our annual Book Character Parade and the opening of our Book Fair. Once again, we are deeply appreciative of the enthusiasm, generosity, and involvement of our parents and community partners.

Thank you for helping make Haude such a vibrant and supportive learning environment for our students.

Sheryl Hall-Palmer                                                                                                                                           Assistant Principal

Book Fair Dates: Oct. 31st-Nov. 7th

Shopping Hours: 7:40-3:00

 Shopping the Book Fair:

If you have a younger child and want to include a list from our flier we will be happy to help them find books or similar books to those selected in the flier. Please also communicate with your child’s teacher about purchasing needs (ie. on level books only, no gaming books, no diaries, or only one pen/eraser toy, etc.) All sales are final, so please feel free to include a note with the money you send or message your teacher if you have created an eWallet so we can help your children purchase what you would like.

If you are sending cash with your student, please place cash in a baggy, with your student’s name on it, and mark it for the book fair.  WE WILL NOT ACCEPT CHECKS AT BOOK FAIR. We will also not allow students to spend 100 dollar bills unless we have contacted you first.

Don’t want to send cash?

Don’t want to send cash?  No problem! Go to https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/haudeelementaryschool and activate your child’s eWallet. You can add money for them to spend at the book fair. You can also share their eWallent on social media to have family add to their accounts. Any unused funds can be spent at The Scholastic Store Online or to fund an eWallet at a future fair. We highly recommend eWallets so that students don’t have to carry cash. We can look up their accounts on the register so there’s no need for you to print anything at home.

Look At What We are Learning!

🧮 Grades 1–2: “Building Addition & Subtraction Superstars!”

Help your child become an Addition & Subtraction Superstar!
Just 5 minutes of practice a day—using flashcards, dice, or even quick number games in the car—can make a big difference.
The more fluent your child becomes with basic facts, the easier (and more fun!) problem-solving will be.
Little bursts of practice = big math confidence!

✖️ Grades 3–5: “Mastering Multiplication Facts!”

Knowing multiplication facts is like having a secret weapon for math success!
A few minutes of practice each day—through games, songs, or apps like Prodigy or XtraMath—helps your child build fluency and confidence.
When facts come easily, your child can focus on bigger math challenges without getting stuck on the basics.
Encourage them to show off their “math fact power” at home!
