March 30 - April 3

Week at a Glance:

  • Field Day- Field Day is this Thursday, April 2! Our Field Day stations run from 9:00-11:00 and again from 12:30-2:30, and parents are welcome to join the fun at those times! Be sure to pre-register here to save time! Please have your student wear their tie-dye shirt that was sent home at winter break. If you don't have the tie-dye shirt, here are the colors for each grade level - please just have your student wear the color shown, if possible.
    • Class Colors:
      • Pre-K-Yellow
      • Kinder-Orange
      • First-Green
      • Second-Turquoise
      • Third-Red
      • Fourth-Blue
      • Fifth-Purple
    • Our lunch schedule will be altered on this day, as we will pause for a school-wide lunch break from 11:00-12:20. It will be a "No Visitor" lunch day, as we will use this time for our students to calm down and cool down before the afternoon session. We highly recommend having your children bring their lunch if possible, but of course, the cafeteria will still be open for those who prefer to buy. If you will need to drop a lunch off for your child, please do so before 11:00 am. We want to have time to get those lunches delivered to classrooms in a timely manner so that students have plenty of time to eat. Please remember, as always, we encourage children to stay for the full day of school. Good attendance is an important life skill!
  • School Holiday- Friday, April 3 is a student and staff holiday. Enjoy the long weekend!
  • FINAL WEEK! Plastic Bag Recycling Challenge- HEB will donate up to $1,000 if we can collect over 50,000 plastic bags! This includes grocery bags, produce bags, any plastic bag works!  We are in our final week and we know we can finish strong.  A recycle bin is placed right outside the front office. Bags will be collected through April 2. Let's finish this challenge strong!
  • Important Safety Reminder- When visiting our building, please remember to bring your ID with you, as it is required for entry in our building. When parents or visitors are coming or going, do not hold the door for the next person, as they will need to be personally screened prior to entry. We know this can feel awkward or rude, but it maintains our secure environment for the safety of all. Thank you for adhering to this requirement.
  • TOMORROW! Klein ISD Early Learning Extravaganza- If you have families or friends with children ages 3 months to 6 years old, please encourage them to come out and see us at the Early Learning Extravaganza tomorrow from 9:00-11:30 at Klein High School. Find out more here.
