STAAR Testing this Tuesday, April 14- STAAR season begins this week for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. On testing days for your children, it is important to arrive on time and stay for the entire day. Please avoid making appointments on these dates if possible. We are working hard to make sure they are prepared academically, and you can partner with us by building their confidence and preparing for a positive, timely morning arrival. Remember to give medications and send them with glasses as necessary. Visitors will not be allowed for lunch on testing days for any grade level.

No Visitor Lunch- We will not allow guests for lunch on Tuesday this week, due to STAAR testing.

Spirit Night at Spring Creek BBQ- Please join us on Tuesday, April 14 between 5:00-9:00 at Spring Creek BBQ (6068 FM 2920 location). Come out and enjoy some delicious BBQ while supporting our school! A nice treat for our kids who took a STAAR test that day! See the flyer below for more details.

Rock the Farm Auction- Rock the Farm is a fun, carnival like event that our PTO hosts each year. In addition to the actual free, family event that occurs on Friday, April 24 from 5:30-7:30, there is also an online silent auction with so many fun experiences and cool items that families can bid on. The bids open up on Monday, April 13 and close at 5:00 sharp on Saturday, April 25. Here is the sneak peek link to the auction items (bidding starts at 7:00am on Monday, see flyer below for more info)! We will also have raffle baskets at Rock the Farm on April 24, and the PTO is currently collecting items to fill these fun baskets. You can order straight from the Amazon wish list or bring donations into the front hallway.

Morning Arrival- We've been having an increase in tardies recently. Kids tend to be better adjusted when they arrive to school on time, so they don't feel like they've missed anything. Our doors open at 7:40. We play a fun song over the intercom at 8:00, then we start the video announcements at 8:05. Character lessons follow from 8:10-8:25. At that time, full content instruction is starting. Please do your best to get the kiddos here by 8:05. Arrival after 8:10 will require an adult to sign the children in at the front office. Thanks!

5th Grade Appreciation- The end of the year is always fun (and emotional) for our 5th grade families! We will have a student-only field trip to Activate (Woodlands) on Tuesday, May 19. We will have our 5th Grade Appreciation on Wednesday, May 27th in the morning, and families are welcomed and encouraged to attend this event. More details to come soon!

Birthday Treats- Ordering birthday treats will now be facilitated through the front office/clinic to ensure safety with allergens. You can place your order on this Google link, or you can pick up a paper request form at the front desk. Please allow at least two weeks in advance.
