ARCHIVE:
If your student has medication, please come drop it off at the clinic. It cannot be sent with the student to school for safety reasons.
There have been changes to the medication protocol this year. In the past, we were allowed to take over-the-counter (OTC) medications for a period of 2 weeks with just the parent's signature. Health Services is now requiring a doctor's signature for every medication submitted to the clinic, including OTCs. Please email nurse at celigio1@kleinisd.net if you need the required form.

Carpool Dismissal Procedures
🚙 Car Riders
The dismissal of car riders will begin at 3:25 PM. Parents are not to line up in the driveway until 3:10 PM. This helps us keep our driveway safe and clear for parents visiting and employees that need to leave early. Please plan accordingly as you leave your house in the afternoon. The car line ends at 3:50 PM. You will have to park and come into the building to receive your child after 3:50 PM.
***Students are allowed to be checked out early from school until 2:45 PM.***
To pick up students in the carpool area, you must have a Greenwood Forest car hang tag displayed in your windshield. If you do not have the hang tag, you must have an ID for us to verify that you have permission to pick up the child.
Any car riders on campus after 4:30 PM (more than 3 times) will be assigned as a bus rider due to staff responsibilities after the school day has ended.

Birthday Snacks through the Cafeteria
While the use of non-food rewards and celebrations is always preferred, Klein ISD acknowledges that there are instances when foods are used appropriately as part of instruction. Additionally the Texas Education Code §28.002(L-3)(1) permits parents/guardians or grandparents to provide a birthday snack for their child's birthday. The following guidelines apply to such snacks:
• The campus nurse will be given a two-week advanced written notice of the parent / guardian or faculty decision to provide any food items to students.
