Message from Admin

Welcome to November, Eagle Families! We are so thankful for all your help, support, collaboration and generosity. We loved having over 300 families members attend our Storybook Character Parade last week and loved having over 500 in attendance for our first ever Trunk or Treat earlier in October!

November and December provide lots of opportunities for our families to join us on campus. Please expect updates from me about upcoming events so no one misses out on the fun!

We know that the holiday season can bring added worries for some families. We are here to support you! Please do not hesitate to reach out to administrators or our counselor, Ms. Kathryn Hubbs, if you need additional support for the holidays.

Please note there is no school for students, tomorrow, November 4 due to Ehrhardt being a polling site for local election voting. School will be back in session on Wednesday, November 5, 2025.

Veteran's Day Program

On November 11, 2025 at 1:30pm Ehrhardt Elementary will celebrate Veteran's Day with a program in our gym. We would like to invite all our Veterans to attend this special program. If you or a family member is a Veteran, please email lwright1@kleinisd.net with the name, rank, branch and other important service information so that we may honor you during the program. Please send your response to lwright1@kleinisd.net by Friday, November 7, 2025 at 1:00pm so that we can organize everything for our event. Choir families, please be on the lookout for more information from Ms. Schmutz and Mr. Canik about choir's participation in the program.

Cafeteria Visits

We are excited to invite families back to campus for student lunch times starting September 8, 2025. Please make sure you and any other guests have their IDs with them when signing in at the front office. Lunch visitors are able to eat with their students in the cafeteria and then will be asked to sign back out once lunch time is over. There will be tables by the stage for guests. Please keep these guidelines in mind when joining us for lunch at Ehrhardt:

Arrival/Dismissal Information

Student safety is a top priority at Ehrhardt and during arrival and dismissal times, it becomes very important that everyone follow procedures to make sure students arrive and exit safely, quickly and appropriately. Please support our campus staff by adhering to the arrival and dismissal procedures. No matter what, we require that all family members remain in their vehicles during arrival and dismissal times. We also require that all Ehrhardt families are good community members and follow posted and known traffic laws and regulations. This includes parking in appropriate areas and being mindful of private property around the school property. While we know car rider lines can be long, they are truly the quickest and safest way to drop off and pick up from school.

Arrival: There are two arrival drop off points for students on campus. The drop off line at the main entrance to the building is the slower moving line. This line is often used by our younger students who need a little more time or assistance to exit their vehicles. These entrance doors are also closer to the PK and Kinder classrooms inside the building. The drop off line at the back entrance by the cafeteria is the quick drop off line. Staff members are present to open doors and provide minor assistance, but students should be independent when using this line. Both drop off lines start unloading cars at 7:45am and will stop at 8:05am. If you arrive later than 8:05am, please park and walk your child into the main office to sign them in for the day.

Dismissal: All car rider dismissals occur from the back entrance of the building by the cafeteria. Cars will line up starting at the cafeteria stop sign and moving into our surrounding neighborhood. Please note that car rider dismissal begins promptly at 3:25pm. Again, please be mindful and respectful when waiting in our car rider line. Do not block driveways, intersections or other roadways. Please also be aware that many Ehrhardt Eagles bike and walk to school and will be using the sidewalks around the neighborhood to get home each day. A staff member will stand at Seven Pines and Rosebrook Lanes to take your assigned car rider number. Car numbers can be picked up at Meet the Teacher or will be sent home on the first day. If you do not have a number, be prepared to stop and give the names of the students you are picking up. Our staff aims to load cars as quickly and safely as possible. Please be patient for the first few days while everyone learns the procedures. I will alert families to when car rider cut off times of 3:45pm will begin.

Walkers/Bikers: We love our students who walk or bike to and from school each day. Students in grades PK-2 need to be picked up each afternoon at the backdoors of their hallways. Older students in grades 3-5 will be walked off property by a staff member. Older students may walk around the building to pick up younger family members. All students who walk or bike home should leave campus as soon as they are dismissed and head straight home.

Medication Drop Off

If your child will require medication while at school please follow these guidelines:

  • Prescription medicines must be in the original container with the pharmacy label clearly showing student name and dosing information

  • Over the Counter medicines must include a doctor's note. This is a change from previous year's procedures

  • Unused medication cannot be sent home with students. An adult must come and collect the medication from the school nurse.

If you have additional questions, please contact our school nurse, Lady Rhodes.
