Doerre Intermediate Families,

What an amazing first week back to school! It was such a joy to see our students’ bright smiles as they walked the halls of Doerre, met their teachers, and reconnected with friends.

A huge thank-you goes to our PTO and parent volunteers for helping us kick off the year so smoothly at both Doerreintation and during first-day schedule distribution. Your support makes all the difference, and we are truly grateful!

Our Warriors started the year strong, living out the Warrior Way Standard of Excellence. We are so proud of their efforts and look forward to building on this momentum as we head into week two.

As always, please reach out to our admin team with any questions, concerns, or celebrations—we’re here for our Warrior family every step of the way.

Let’s make this another great week!

With appreciation,

Help Our Warriors Write with Pride!

We are thrilled to announce the continuation of our "Write with PRIDE" initiative for the upcoming school year! This program, which began as a successful pilot last year, is designed to help all students practice writing across the curriculum during our weekly PRIDE advisory period. The month-long pilot demonstrated great results, and we are excited to expand the project to help our Warriors become the best writers they can be.

To ensure every student has the necessary materials, we are asking for your help! We need donations of composition notebooks. You can contribute in one of two ways:

  1. Donate via our Amazon Wish List: amzn.to/3Usc3YI (The QR code in the image links to the same page.)

  2. Bring notebooks to your student's 5th-period teacher by Thursday, August 22nd.

Any shortage after the donation drive ends will be covered by the school to ensure every student has a notebook. Thank you for your support in helping our students build their writing skills and confidence!

Schedule Changes and Class Leveling

As we gear up for week two, if a student has a question about their schedule, please have them complete the schedule change request form that is located in Schoology. All students should remain in their scheduled class. Their counselor will call the student down to resolve any issues.

Please note, that while we try to make as few schedule changes as possible after the first day of school, counselors are still trying to level classes to accommodate our enrollment numbers and give our students and teachers the benefit of the smallest class sizes possible. As we move into week two, a few schedules could change as counselors work through this process. Counselors will try to keep students with the same teachers as much as possible. If you have any questions about a specific schedule change, please reach out to your child's counselor.

Student ID Information

Students will receive their 2025-2026 IDs when they pick up their Chromebook or on the first day of school in their first period class.

Students are expected to have their IDs on a lanyard, around their neck, and visible at all times.
IDs may be taken off during physical activity but required to be put back around neck.
Students who do not have their ID will be required to acquire a temporary ID. A $1 fee will be added to the student's school cash account.

Students who lose their ID may request a new one. The student will be provided with a new ID, lanyard, and sleeve. A $5 fee will be added to their school cash account.

Here are this year's standard lanyard colors:

6th Grade- Yellow

7th Grade- Black

8th Grade- Red

*Note lanyard color travels with the student, so returning students will be able to use last year's lanyards, but a new one will also be provided to each student.

Tutorials Process

To ensure all students are safely supervised, we do not student allow entry unless their teacher is present. Between 8:00 and 8:25, students can enter the building for tutorials through the secondary front door (the entrance nearest the handicap parking spots). Students must present their student ID and sign in, indicating where they will attend. Students will only be permitted to attend tutorials for teachers who have marked themselves present.

We will publish the tutorial schedule for your reference in the August 24th volume of The Arrow as we are currently working to compile this information for teachers.
