Doerre Families,

As we head into the final week before Thanksgiving break, we want to share how grateful we are for your partnership and support. Our students continue to grow, thrive, and shine because of the strong community we have here at Doerre.

This week is also a wonderful time to show gratitude to those who make a difference in your child’s school experience. Who are you grateful for? Feel free to use the Klein ISD gratitude form to share a note of appreciation: https://kisd.us/gratitude. Your kind words mean so much and help strengthen the supportive community we value at Doerre.

Wishing you and your family a great week leading into the holiday!

Let’s make it another great week at Doerre!

With appreciation,

With gratitude,
Annie Welday-Zimney

Four-Year Planning Meetings- 8th Grade

It’s that time of year when our 8th graders begin thinking about high school and their four-year plans! This week, our counseling team will meet with all 8th grade students during their PRIDE classes to begin building their four-year plan in Skyward.

Please note that nothing is set in stone at this stage—this is simply the first step in preparing for course selection for the 2026–2027 school year. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your child’s counselor.

Student Council Fundraiser

It’s time to spread some holiday cheer with Student Council’s Jingle Jams & Candy Grams!

You can send a sweet candy cane to a friend, teacher or staff member. If you're feeling a little extra-festive, you purchase a Jingle Jam (or singing telegram) to make your favorite teacher’s day and Student Council will serenade them and their class with a festive holiday song!

Candy Grams are just $1 each, and Jingle Jams are $10. You can purchase candy canes and singing telegrams through School Cash Online from December 1-12th. We will also be selling them in the cafeteria on December 4-9th during all lunches.

Don’t miss your chance to sweeten someone’s day or make the halls jingle with joy!

End of Semester Exam Schedule

The end-of-semester exam schedule for QSE 2 and Midterm exams is now available. We do our best to ensure that no grade level has more than two exams in one day; however, due to the busy timing at the end of the semester, some overlap may occur. Please take a moment to review the schedule carefully, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Quarter One Grade Repair

Ms. Mullins will be meeting with students who have failed a core content class for Q1 one-on-one over the next two weeks to discuss their grades. Following these meetings, each student will be assigned a self-paced Schoology course that they need to complete before Christmas break.

Students can work on these assignments at home and during Pride periods in the weeks of November 10-11 and November 17-21. We truly appreciate your assistance in helping our students improve their grades.

Thank you for your partnership!

Tutorial Schedule

Doerre Tutorial Process

To ensure all students are safely supervised, we do not student allow entry unless their teacher is present. Between 8:00 and 8:25, students can enter the building for tutorials through the secondary front door (the entrance nearest the handicap parking spots). Students must present their student ID and sign in, indicating where they will attend. Students will only be permitted to attend tutorials for teachers who have marked themselves present.

Here is the tutorial schedule for the 25-26 school year: Doerre Tutorial Schedule. Once the teacher arrives, they will turn their name green on this sheet, and our tutorial door greeter will know to let those students in for tutorials.  Teacher AM Tutoring Check-In Sheet

After 8:25, students will not be able to enter the building until the bell rings at 8:35, allowing our staff time to prepare for the school day and report to their morning duty stations.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
