Everything you need... in 1 place! The Klein ISD App!
This year, we’ve launched a new district app with a feature called Rooms. Rooms will replace Remind, which we used last year. If you don’t already have it, the district app is free, and you can find it in the App Store or Google Play Store. You may have already received an invite to Rooms by email or text. If so, you’re already enrolled and can log in at any time.
For more information, helpful resources, and frequently asked questions about Rooms, go to:
Welcome to a brand-new school year, Bobcat Family! 🐾
We are off to a wonderful start, and you are a big part of that success. Thank you for helping your child make such a smooth transition from home to school. If this is your very first year with us—welcome! We can’t wait to grow a strong partnership with you, centered around safety, connection, and problem-solving.
At Benfer, every child is part of our School Family—not just in the classroom, but across the entire campus. In our School Family, we look out for each other, lend a hand when needed, and celebrate each other’s success both personally and academically.
As your School Counselor, my heart is set on making sure ALL of our Bobcats feel safe, learn how to self-regulate, and find their voice in healthy and confident ways. I’ll be helping students set clear boundaries, use their “thinking brain” (prefrontal lobe 🧠) to solve problems, and build skills to handle challenges calmly and productively.
Please know that I’m always here for you. If you have any questions or just want to connect, don’t hesitate to reach out—I’d love to hear from you!
With excitement for a great year ahead,
Paola Salcedo

Klein ISD uses the SMART tag ID card system to increase student safety and allow access to campus services via easy scans.
The SMART tag system, which consists of student ID cards with barcodes and smart readers to read the cards, will allow students to
check out library books via a quick scan,
easily pay for lunch and breakfast with a swipe, and
allow families to receive bus stop notifications when their child gets on and off the bus.
By implementing this new ID card system, school staff will be able to quickly and efficiently identify anyone who should not be on campus, greatly increasing school safety.
