Attendance Tips of the Month |
|
|
EVERY DAY COUNTS! Come to school ready to learn! ⭐ When students are here all day, they grow in confidence, stay on track with their classmates, and don’t miss out on important lessons and activities!
Please remember: If you choose to keep your child home for the day due to being sick, be sure to log into Skyward or send a note to school when they return to excuse the absence.
After 6 unexcused absences, families will be called in to review an Attendance Improvement Plan. After 16 unexcused absences, we are required to submit truancy reports as outlined by district guidelines.

A Message from the Counselor: February 2026
Every change in our lives brings challenges, whether personal or professional. Change often disrupts our routines and sense of balance, and it can stir up feelings of anxiety, frustration, or even fear. In those moments, staying calm and approaching people or situations with a positive mindset can feel especially difficult. When we are upset or overwhelmed, our emotions tend to take the lead.
As February invites us to celebrate love and friendship, I encourage you to make a conscious choice to view challenging people or situations through the lens of love. When we pause, breathe, and choose to respond with unconditional care rather than reaction, our perspective begins to shift. We start to notice the good, the possibilities, and the humanity in front of us—and our willingness to engage with openness grows.
This shift in perspective transforms not only how we see the situation, but also how we behave within it. Our reactions soften, our words become kinder, and our actions more intentional. Everything appears more beautiful when we choose to see with love—not because circumstances or people suddenly change, but because we do.
When we approach others with love, we regulate our emotions more effectively, strengthen our capacity for compassion, and open ourselves to kindness and service. My wish for you this month is a heart grounded in love, guided by grace, and expressed through kindness. |

| Klein ISD uses the SMART tag ID card system to increase student safety and allow access to campus services via easy scans.
The SMART tag system, which consists of student ID cards with barcodes and smart readers to read the cards, will allow students to check out library books via a quick scan, easily pay for lunch and breakfast with a swipe, and allow families to receive bus stop notifications when their child gets on and off the bus.
By implementing this new ID card system, school staff will be able to quickly and efficiently identify anyone who should not be on campus, greatly increasing school safety. Download the SMART Tag App Here! |
|
|
If you need a new SMART tag, you can purchase one for $5 in the front office or on School Cash Online. |

Benfer Arrival & Dismissal Reminders |
For the safety of all students, we ask that families follow our arrival/dismissal map for drop off and pick up.
Please remember that the bus lane in the left side parking lot is reserved only for buses, day care vans, and EC/Pre-K drop-off. Please use the car rider lane when dropping children off or picking up students. If you need to use the left side parking lot for drop off, please park and walk your student into the building. When students are dropped off outside of the designated areas and allowed to walk on their own, their safety is put at risk.
Thank you for helping us keep every child safe! |
