Block Party Info
We are looking forward to seeing our bobcats attend our Back to Benfer Block Party on Monday, August 11th. Please be aware of the following information prior to the event:
Our 5th Annual Back to Benfer Block Party will be a great time! Some things to look forward to: meet your teacher, enjoy free food, enter for a chance to win raffle prizes, see a fire truck, ambulance and school bus. Have fun with our inflatable obstacle course, face painting, photo booth, and dance floor!
Also: get a new car rider number, sign up for Campus Kids, find out about your bus route, meet Benny the bobcat, and more!
Be on the look out for an e-mail from your student's teacher! Teachers will be sending emails to our families prior to the event which will inform you of your child(ren)'s homeroom teacher. This will save you time from standing in line to find out when you arrive.
Parking will be a bit challenging as we will have lots of attendees and the Strack parking lot has limited space. Please keep in mind that parking down by the Burger King parking lot is an option and you would be able to walk down the sidewalk to get to the entrance of the event.

Required Annual Student Update Open TODAY Through August 9th

This is required for all current students in Klein ISD to ensure each student has teachers assigned prior to the first day of school. Help your student soar by visiting https://www.kleinisd.net/update to start the process.

What is the Annual Student Update?
Every year, Klein ISD requires that families update student information for each enrolled child. Although many of our families have information that has not changed, for each student’s safety, it is required that information such as emergency contact information and more be reviewed and verified for each child.
This year you will need to create an account to update your information. You will need your Student ID number in order to create your account. You can access your school ID in Skyward.
Why do I need to complete the Annual Student Update?
Updating student information regularly is vital to ensure the accuracy of parent/guardian information, emergency contacts, phone numbers, address, etc. and allows the district and campus to respond in a timely and appropriate manner in case of an emergency, along with routine communication to keep families informed.

Meals at Benfer
Klein ISD students and families have an upgraded service for online school meal payments called SchoolCafé. Families can register now for your SchoolCafé account using these step-by-step instructions in English or instructions in Spanish.
Additionally, your SchoolCafé account gives you access to the new parent portal that allows families to manage students’ meal accounts, including:
Managing and depositing funds for meal purchases
Blocking a la carte purchases

Car Riders and Walkers
If your student will be a car rider or walker this year, they will need a car rider number and tag. All students receive a NEW number each year.
NEW! Fill out the form for a car rider tag instead of waiting in line at Block Party! If your student will be a car rider or walker, fill out the form HERE!
Your car rider tag will be delivered to your homeroom teacher before the Back to Benfer Block Party. If you do not fill out the form above, you will need to wait in the line at the Back to Benfer Block Party or wait until the first day of school.

Please read the information below regarding change of transportation procedures.
1. Changes in transportation request should be submitted before 2:45 p.m. Requests made after 2:45 p.m. cannot be approved.
2. A written and signed note is required to change regular transportation. It can be sent with your student to campus to turn in. A transportation change will not be accepted over the phone.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
As part of our commitment to providing students with access to modern learning tools, we issue devices to support their educational experience. These devices are covered under accidental damage protection; however, intentional damage will not be tolerated.
If a device is intentionally damaged by a student, families will be charged for the full cost of repairs or replacement. Please review the repair and replacement fees below to ensure transparency:

Volunteers Needed
Klein ISD Volunteer Registration is now OPEN! If you are interested at all in volunteering or just want to receive email updates on the happenings at the school you must be registered through Klein ISD. Registration is done annually so even if you registered last year, it does not carry over into the next school year. Click here to register!
